2020 Challenges
Challenge: Start on Your Shelfathon from The Quiet Pond.

CW @ The Quiet Pond has the most beautiful site and I am so glad that this particular challenge popped up because I will look forward to checking her site more and participating fully in the StartOnYourShelfathon which challenges us to start with the books we are reading on our own shelves. All of the books I read off my physical shelf will be listed here.
Challenge: Beat the Backlist from Novel Knight

This will be my third year participating in Novel Knight’s fantastic Beat the Backlist Challenge but I vow that this will be the year I fully participate. This means looking at the mini-challenges and actually logging my books. This challenge really inspires me to tackle that backlist every year but I never follow through with the social aspect of it. Which is changing this year! For 2020, I am going to request to join the Borrowers team and try and get all of my TBRs from my library. Here is where I will list the books I manage to cross of my TBR!
Challenge: Audiobook Challenge from Caffeinated Reader and Hot Listens

Hot Listens and Caffeinated Reviewer co-host this challenge. I’m hoping to reach Binge Listener (more than 20 audiobooks!)
(1) The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman
(2) The Zookeeper’s Wife by Diane Ackerman
(3) Cary Grant: A Class Apart by Graham McMann
(4) The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins
(5) The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl by Issa Rae
(6) Catching Fire (The Hunger Game Book #2) by Suzanne Collins
(7) Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson
(8) Mockingjay (The Hunger Games Book #3) by Suzanne Collins
(9) The Humans by Matt Haig
(10) Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig
(11) How to Stop Time by Matt Haig

I’d like to be more social so I will be dedicating Saturdays for this challenge! I’m not sure how I will track it but I have to start somewhere.
I am participating in the Audiobook and Beat the Backlist challenges too. I should be book banning but…nah! Good luck!

To you too! I already regret the book ban. 🙂

What type of audiobooks are you interested? I would love to recommend some! And Fahrenheit 451 has been on my list for the longest time. I absolutely love science fiction and dystopians 🙂 Have you read Brave New World? It’s the one that got me started on this genre.

I have Brave New World on my TBR! The book ban is like a strict diet. I either cheat and feel terrible or stick to it and I’m hungry. Hungry for more books!

I feel you SO HARD on this book ban situation. Last year I gave up buying books for Lent, lol. I’ve given up on banning myself from buying new books, but am trying to be.. better.. about it. I’ve started a spreadsheet to record what books I’ve bought each month, how much they cost, etc, so I’m hoping that’ll help curb it some…
Also omg have you read the Cruel Prince or The Hazel Wood yet? They’re both FANTASTIC in totally different ways.

I have them both and I LOVED them. I think I reviewed them both recently – now I need your thoughts! The best thing about Hazel Wood is talking about it.
I just keep adding books to my Amazon cart and promising myself I will buy some of them when I finish my already owned books. Giving them up for Lent is ever so much smarter than for a stupid YEAR resolution.

Oooh okay I will go hit up your reviews and reply there!!
Lmao Ahahaha OMG your cart just be enormous right now. Omg yeah no way could I do that for a year. Doomed to fail tbh

My cart is ridiculous. Thankfully, I also have a great library so I read a lot of them there and then take them out of my cart. I alllllllllmost accidentally ordered the lot when I was shopping with wine but I caught it in time.
