It is so easy in the middle of all of this to forget which day of the week it is. Everyday here feels the same. Thankfully, I just realized that it is Wednesday mid-morning. Time for my favorite meme.

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

I am nearly 60% of the way through Emma and, while I am really enjoying it, honestly there are whole sections that feel repeated. Thank goodness Mr. Elston’s wife has finally arrived to liven things up!

Tap is my NonFiction pick this week and, I’m afraid, this one hasn’t gotten much attention. Perhaps today I will finally sit down and get farther than the introduction.

Finally, I have been reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie on my kindle. I’m pretty excited for all these terrible people to die already.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

This week I finished To Be Honest by Maggie Ann Martin which was an enjoyable contemporary romance but nothing that thrilled me completely. I just absolutely hated her Mom and I felt like I didn’t get enough closure on that one.

The Matchmaker’s List by Sonya Lalli gets my March away for the book that made me the maddest. This is not a romantic comedy (as advertised) but instead a book about culture and tradition. I would have loved that except the main character pretends to be Gay to avoid matchmaking and the length and breadth of this subterfuge made me irate.

Finally, I finished A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. Her books are well recognized as slow burning and this one did the same. She lays an intricate platform to build onto and I really enjoyed it! I am waiting for the second in the series to arrive from the digital library.

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

For once, I know exactly what I will read next because it is April and that means MAGICAL READATHON! I am trying to qualify as a potioneer and my whole post can be found here. Of my stack of books I think I will start with the shortest first because it is on Canada. I was scheduled to travel to Toronto next week and will have to be happy to just read about my country crush.
