WWW Wednesday was last hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and has found a new home with Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?
Look at my tiny pile!! It makes me look decently sane (such a lie – I’m so far from in control at this point its laughable). It is actually because I put boldly put three books on my DNF shelf this week.
History of the World in 100 Objects and Tap are both coming along nicely. I think Tap will move to the finish pile next week.
I have just started Dead Voices this morning but it is the follow up story to Small Spaces which was delightfully scary. I cannot wait to get into this book! Look at this description.
Having survived sinister scarecrows and the malevolent smiling man in Small Spaces, newly minted best friends Ollie, Coco, and Brian are ready to spend a relaxing winter break skiing together with their parents at Mount Hemlock Resort. But when a snowstorm sets in, causing the power to flicker out and the cold to creep closer and closer, the three are forced to settle for hot chocolate and board games by the fire.
Ollie, Coco, and Brian are determined to make the best of being snowed in, but odd things keep happening. Coco is convinced she has seen a ghost, and Ollie is having nightmares about frostbitten girls pleading for help. Then Mr. Voland, a mysterious ghost hunter, arrives in the midst of the storm to investigate the hauntings at Hemlock Lodge. Ollie, Coco, and Brian want to trust him, but Ollie’s watch, which once saved them from the smiling man, has a new cautionary message: BEWARE.
With Mr. Voland’s help, Ollie, Coco, and Brian reach out to the dead voices at Mount Hemlock. Maybe the ghosts need their help–or maybe not all ghosts can or should be trusted.
Dead Voices is a terrifying follow-up to Small Spaces with thrills and chills galore and the captive foreboding of a classic ghost story. from Goodreads.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?
I’m still in the throws of middle grade madness over here. I find myself completely fascinated by the myriad of ways authors get rid of parents in these books so I made a Where Are the Parents? Book Bingo.
My one non-middle grade book, Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig, was an audiobook I borrowed from the library and it was so amazing that I immediately purchased a physical copy. This is the book that had me setting firm limits for my cell phone and social media use and actually sticking to them. I feel calmer, more productive, I’m writing again, and I’m spending
The final books in 43 Old Cemetery Road were so much fun to read and I cannot wait to review this whole punny series!
I also finished Roll With It, Legend of Greg, and The Classy Crooks Club. I’m planning to put out some mini reviews soon.
WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?
The plan is to read more middle grade! I am not just enjoying all of these books but I am also finally (finally!) working through my Stunning Shelf!
Tell me, please!

I feel like the author was just sitting with me for five hours and telling me, “it’s okay,” and “focus on what’s important.” I borrowed the audiobook from the library, finished it, and immediately had to have my own copy. Love it!

That sounds amazing. I love those kind of books, that you borrowed but have to buy as soon as you’re finished!! I’m adding it to my library list, thank you!!
