WWW Wednesday was last hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and has found a new home with Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!
My last two weeks have been abnormal (yes, more so than usual) so I accidentally missed posting last week. These books are from the past two weeks.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?
I am still working on Tap and A History of the World in 100 Objects. I’m starting to become very annoyed with Tap.
I am also listening to Twilight and The Silent Patient as audiobooks. Since Stephanie Meyer is releasing a new book I wanted to re-visit the original. Why do I not remember how many times Bella falls down? Or, for that matter, how many times she mentions the color of Edward’s eyes? The Silent Patient is a thriller and I am really enjoying it while I row.
Finally, Explorers on Witch Mountain by Alex Bell is part of a middle grade series that I have been enjoying.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?
Boy did I have fun these past two weeks reading! I finished another Matt Haig book, How to Stop Time and loved it.
Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs by Caitlin Doughty felt innapropriate to read, given that it is answering children’s questions about death, but I couldn’t help by enjoy every bit of it. It was such a fascinating mix of facts and humor!
Dead Voices is the sequel to Small Spaces and was just as well written. I found this one to be even scarier than Small Spaces.
I also read Finding Audrey which is Sophie Kinsella’s YA book. This book deals with some series issues, Audrey is recovering psychologically from extreme (and unexplained) bullying. But, paired with the mother’s hilarious attempts to thwart her son’s computer addiction the book felt lighter than the subject matter.
Finally, I flew through The Boy is Back by Meg Cabot during a particularly long night with insomnia. Love Meg Cabot and I enjoy all of her books.
WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?
I know I will want to start reading Explorers on Black Ice Bridge when I finish the Witch Mountain and I have Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream cued up for my next Shakespearian adventure. Other than these two I am going to let my mood lead me!
Tell me, please!
What’s on your WWW?
So many great reads! Meg Cabot, Sophie Kinsella, and Stephenie Meyer are all favorites of mine. Silent Patient is on my TBR. And, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of the most entertaining of Shakespeare’s plays. Love the magic elements in it ❤️

I really enjoyed The Silent Patient. I’m curious about Finding Audrey. Thanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week.

I think I avoided Finding Audrey for so long because it reminded me too much of Where’d You Go Bernadette (which I adored). Such a different story though! Have a wonderful week too – thanks for visiting!

Thanks for stopping by earlier! You’ve got some great reads there! I haven’t read a Meg Cabot book in so long and I honestly don’t know why. Sounds like I’ll reintroduce myself to her by putting The Boy Is Back on our TBR!
Bahaha to Bella, I can imagine what it’s like rereading that trilogy!
Happy reading and see you next week!

Every time Bella trips, mentions her clumsiness, or says “Tawny Eyes” I’ve been doing five squats. I’m gonna be so fit…..
Meg Cabot is so good. Reading this was like remembering a good friend and having a chat. Lovely!

Bahaha I love that! What will you do for New Moon, I wonder?…
You make me miss that friend…I think I should say hi soon. I will it add it to our book jar!

Bookish friends are best right? They just sit and wait for you to visit with zero complaints. I hope you enjoy. As for New Moon, I’m going to exercise for the whole block where Bella just pouts. I’m calling it my Vampire Workout Plan.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is easily my favorite Shakespeare play, followed closely by The Tempest. I love that you are going on Shakespearean adventures! I haven’t had a chance to read the Bard since my college days. Happy reading!

How ridiculous is it that I’m reading it during a pandemic!?! It is a very quick read so if you get a chance you will fly through it.

I don’t know, all bets are off lately about what seems appropriate, I think…it’s whatever helps you at the moment! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, I just still feel like I have to brace myself a bit, maybe it’s the wrong impression…

Interesting to see you’re revisiting Twilight by listening to it on audiobook, so you’ll be all prepped for the release Stephanie Meyer’s new book. I hadn’t really planned it, but all the films are on Sky at the moment so I have been working my through them. Take care and happy reading! 🙂
