WWW Wednesday: September 16, 2020

WWW Wednesday is the post I look forward to every week! Thanks, as always to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words and this wonderful WWW post to keep me going. If you want to join me, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

This week I am currently still reading The Diary of Anne Frank and David Copperfield. I am nearly 70% of the way through Anne Frank and I am not sure that reading this while still in quasi quarantine was the best idea. I am nearly 50% into David Copperfield and the kaleidoscope of his experiences is so diverting and wonderful! I also finally (finally) managed to get a copy of Daisy Jones & the Six as an audiobook and only have 10% remaining. I simply cannot stop listening to this story! Everyone who has raved about it was absolutely correct. Finally, I started reading A Short Account of the Destruction of the Indies. It may be short but it is difficult to read with its archaic language.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

Even though I finished Code Talker last week the post didn’t go live for some reason so I put the review up here. That book and the story of Chester Nez and the rest of the Code Talkers is so inspirational I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I finished To Kill a Mockingbird this week. I don’t plan to review this classic but it was amazing. I wasn’t loving the first half but, that second half was worth all of that set up. I loved it.

Happily, the library let me borrow The Switch this week. If you read Flatshare and enjoyed it you will love Beth O’Leary’s second book. My full review is here.

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

I still plan to start Enola Holmes next since the Netflix show starts September 23rd and I want to revisit the characters before I enjoy the show!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
