Thanks, as always, to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for this meme that keeps me focused on my current piles instead of looking at the 500 things I have on my Goodreads TBR.

If you want to join in the fun, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forgt to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

I am still listening to The Bloodspell by C.J. Redwine and loving it! This re-telling of Cinderella is so unique and I am already attached to all the characters.

I have made no movement on The Haunting of Aveline Jones by Phil Hickes. But, I am excited for another year of Frighteningly Good Reads in October! If you want to join the (absolute most) low key readathon, watch out for my announcement tomorrow.

Finally, after months of waiting, the library has let me have a peek at The Writing Revolution which is supposed to be….you got it, revolutionary. I really just want to walk through the book for a while and see if it is something I need to own.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

It was a big week! I had the best time reading this week, joy of joys. After back to back reading slumps I have finally found my groove again.

I read The Highland Falcon Thief by M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman. I loved this book. Oh my goodness. I didn’t have the highest expectations from a middle grade mystery but this one was excellent. Maybe it was the train trip or the friendship, who knows?!? I couldn’t put it down.

I also tore through Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston. I thought the second book was already out! Now I have to wait until February?? What the heck. *deep breaths*

Finally, I finished Potkin and Stubbs by Sophie Green and illustrated by K.J. Mountford. The whole time I was reading this book I kept thinking, “this is a bit predictable and familiar.” Which it would be since I already read it before. I got all the way to the end before I realized it! This is why keeping a reading journal consistently is so important.

These three books mean that I finished my Orilium challenge! I will post that all soon and all the reviews of these fantastic books.

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

I have no idea but, mostly likely, it will be continue to be Fall themed. My Fall into Fall book tag is still here for anyone feeling extra social!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
