It is Thanksgiving weekend coming up! I stopped celebrating two years ago after a disastrous meal that had me wondering, “Why am I doing this when I hate it so much?” If you enjoy Thanksgiving, I hope you have a wonderful safe holiday with family and friends. I will be eating pizza and taking a lovely four days of reading!

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?
NonFiction November continues! I am still working on Hershey because I am fascinated by Milton’s life and story. It is a bit slow going but I love this time in American history.
I am also listening to Clan-lands. I never watched the Outlander series but I did read several of the books. I picked up this audiobook for a little armchair travel this week and it has not let me down! I love the history, the folklore, and descriptions of the scenery. I cannot wait to hear where they go next.
I also picked up Jay Chandrasekhar’s autobiography Mustache Shenanigans: Making Super Troopers and Other Adventures in Comedy. Broken Lizard’s comedy is hilarious to me and this movie is one that I quote all of the time. If you haven’t seen it, it is ridiculous and hilarious. And the second movie involves Canada! I am intrigued to see how Jay got into comedy and the details of the movie.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?
This is two week’s worth of reading since I was so busy last week I didn’t even notice the week had passed me by until it was too late to post a WWW.
I finished Think Like a Monk which is excellent from start to finish. I really need to get the review up. Maybe during my long weekend of not cleaning and cooking!
I also finished A Place to Hang the Moon which is a middle grade historical fiction that reminded me of The War I Finally Won. An absolutely lovely story of three children traveling to the countryside in England to avoid the war and, possibly, find a family.
Greenlights was a fast read. Even though I don’t describe it nicely, there is something about McConaughey that makes it hard to hate him.
I also finished the very short audiobook Vigil which has left me with more questions about Hong Kong than I had prior to picking up this book. A mini review is here. It is interesting and eyeopening but really highlighted how little I know about this part of the world.
WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?
I haven’t decided yet! I have a massive stack of NonFiction and an even larger stack of middle grade to choose from this weekend. Hopefully, I find something fun.

Silver Button Books 
Some nice reading there! I have just finished Robin DiAngelo’s “White Fragility” which showed me there’s always something left to learn even if you’ve read a lot of books on a topic, and I am currently reading Sven Lindqvist’s horrific “Terra Nullis” about the abysmal treatment of Native Australians, and Annie Nightingale’s “Hey Hi Hello” about her 50 years as a radio DJ which is quite long and detailed! Next up will be two more novellas and a short guide for editors to finish up Novellas in November, which I have rather thrown myself at this year!

I haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving for two years, so I am actually looking forward to it this year. Joining old friends on one day, and some family on another.
Pizza sounds good, though.

Mustache Shenanigans!! I love the title and concept and didn’t even know this book existed but it sounds SO fun and lighthearted.
So you didn’t enjoy Greenlights all that much? I’ve been seeing a lot of recommendations for it during Nonfiction November. I’m not big on celebrity memoirs but he does seem like a pretty interesting and unusual character.
