WWW Wednesday: November 4, 2020

WWW Wednesday is the post I look forward to every week! Thanks, as always to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words and this wonderful WWW post to keep me going. If you want to join me, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

I scheduled a day off for myself quite some time ago. I live in Chicago and the city boarded itself up in preparation for looting should the election spark outrage. Waking up this morning with no result was such a blessing. It allows me to continue to live in hope that my candidate will win. And, my city is safe which means that I can spend the day reading, checking blogs, and maybe popping over to the book store!

The Three W’s Are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

Since this month is all about NonFiction November and Believathon my piles are all nonfiction and middle grade books. I am nearly finished with A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled by Ruby Wax and then I will be able to start the six week mindfulness practice. I am tandem reading and listening to D-Day Girls by Sarah Rose. I’m not that far into it but the first woman featured is one I am familiar with so I feel like I am cooking right along. And, my middle grade read for today is Dragonwatch Master of the Phantom Isle. This latest installment in my favorite middle grade fantasy series is one I have been saving for too long. Finally, I continue to work my way through the naughty Canterbury Tales.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING

The only book I have finished this week was One Came Home. This middle grade mystery kept me riveted to the very last page. You can read my full review here. But, my favorite quote from this book was, “My sister wouldn’t die and then just lie there.” If that doesn’t peak your interest I don’t know what will!

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

Here are my next two books for both of this month’s readathons. I am excited about both of these books. I just love November!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
