WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday: June 17, 2020

WWW Wednesday was last hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and has found a new home with Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

I’ll be honest. I am not reading the books on my “currently reading list” as much as I am avoiding them. I am thoroughly sick of A History of the World in 100 Objects and need to either power through or take a break. I’m starting to feel like I’m stuck in the IKEA of history with no clear exits.

I am also studiously avoiding listening to American Dirt. I’m not even trying here. Any tips would be appreciated.

A book club member has lent me her physical copy of The Silent Patient and I really appreciate it because I was struggling with the audiobook.

Now Picard, I am loving. I’m trying to put aside all that I know from the show and just enjoy spending time with Captain Picard again.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I did finish a few books this week. I loved my No Fear copy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This was much easier to read than Hamlet for me and has encouraged me to continue working through The Bard’s plays.

I also finished both Untouchable and Twisted Twenty-Six. Both were light and easy reads and kept me company during my long nights of not sleeping this week. Grandma Mazur is, and always will be, The Queen!

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

After participating in my 5 On My TBR this Monday I have pulled several nonfictions off my shelf. I would love to start reading either of these this week.

Tell me, please!

What’s on your WWW?

    1. I couldn’t agree more! Some of these books I didn’t even DNF, I just needed to put them aside and come back later because the thing that is off is me. When I DNF a book though (and I have become much more comfortable with it) that book is freakin’ dead to me.
