WWW Wednesday is the post I look forward to every week! And this week more so than normal because I have a brand new plan. I’ve never made a reading plan for the month before, I’ve always relied on Sam @ Taking on a World of Words and this wonderful WWW post to keep me going. But, after colossally failing to find my feet for months and months I have finally pulled myself together and I am trying something new. A lot of something news actually but…I digress. Either way, I have spent most of the summer lazily posting my WWWs but this week I have been so excited for this week because I am finally reading again!
If you want to join me, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?
I know it looks like a lot but Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Modern Womanhood and To Kill a Mockingbird are both for bookclubs that I am in that meet mid-month. The Guide to Modern Womanhood is funny and light read and I’m glad that I am fans of these two because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to hear their voices coming through the writing. Meanwhile, I am thrilled to finally dig into Mockingbird because so many have raved about the experience of reading it.
The Diary of Anne Frank and David Copperfield are both buddy reads with two different people. I never really tried buddy reading before and I must say, it really keeps you chugging through the books! Just knowing I need to keep my pace helps so much.
Code Talker is the newest in my reads about WWII code makers and breakers. And, The Power of Habit is my audiobook. I am obsessed with habits! I credit starting this book on Friday with my new can-do attitude.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?
Look! I finished reading some books! Actually, The Whispering Skull (Lockwood #2), A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and The Dutch House all this past weekend. I just…..put down the Netflix. I even managed to get reviews up for A Tree Grows in Brooklyn AND The Dutch House. It’s like a whole new me!
WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?
I suspect that I won’t finish too many books this week. But, if I do, I want to prioritize my library books.
Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
Hope you’re enjoying David Copperfield I’ve been meaning to listen to the audiobook ever since I read The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep at the beginning of the year!

I have read Diary of Anne Frank when I was high school I guess. It was daunting even back then. Here is my WWW https://bookandcorner.com/2020/09/02/reading-updates-www-wednesday-4/

I’m curious to hear your thoughts about The Power of Habit! There were some really interesting stories in that book.

I’m currently in the middle of a bunch of books too. I like having a short story collection going throughout the whole month so I definitely get that. Also I’ve been wanting to get to David Copperfield but I’m so intimidated by the page count.

David Copperfield intimidated me as well but I went through and broke it down into sections and I am just flying through it reading about 30 pages a day. It is lovely!!
I want to read more short stories (and poetry) collections so I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on these!

I’ve really been enjoying reading through This Bridge Called My Back this month. Every piece feels so powerful! I might need to break up longer books that way for myself. I also like having the audio to read along with when a book is longer. It helps me focus a bit more.

These are amazing tips. Thank you for sharing them! I’ll have to check out This Bridge Called my Back – I need more radical feminists of color in my life.
