WWW Wednesday: February 10, 2021

WWW Wednesday is the post I look forward to every week. I seem to be doing well reading but I am falling flat on the posting and reviewing. Sometimes WWW Wednesdays sparks the writing habit to begin again – at least I am back today!

Thanks, as always to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words and this wonderful WWW post to keep me going. If you want to join me, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forget to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

One Crazy Summer, The Art of War, and 7 Habits of High Effective Teens buddy reads continue. These three books are a trio of joy.

I continue to listen to Dare to Lead by Brene Brown. I am nearly 60% finished and, honestly, I am learning so much. The section on the difference between empathy and sympathy is unparalleled.

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court is the book I have spent all week avoiding. Why is this book so hard to crack into!? I am 100 pages in and, if it wasn’t for a bookclub, I would probably give up. Has anyone read this one? Does it get better?

Three Ordinary Girls is the book I wanted to read more of this week but didn’t get much time with my Kindle.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I may not feel like writing or reviewing but I have been reading! I finished How to Read Literature Like a Professor this week. I enjoyed the insights Foster had into literary patterns and themes and I will be on the lookout for many of them. The best advice he gave was to just keep reading since the more we read the more we see.

Which is what I did! I had pre-ordered A Vow so Bold and Deadly and this third book in the Cursebreaker series did not disappoint! I just sat down this weekend and spent the whole frigid day reading.

I also picked up and the read the quick, interesting, but a little shallow book, Epidemics and the Law from Smallpox to COVID-19 by John Fabian Witt. This book is only 140 pages and had me looking into more books on the subject to read.

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

Same! Why do I ever think I will actually follow through with this category?!? Ah well, here is to hoping.

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
