Shall I do the same song and dance again this week? What is my excuse now, hmmmm? Nothing! I’ve got nothing! I have no idea why I can’t seem to write any posts but at least I can participate in this one.

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

I am only 5-10% into the audiobook of Hamnet but it is already so impressive. Everyone who raved about it, I see what you meant.

I am probably 1/3 of the way through Fifty Inventions that Shaped the Modern Economy and Tim Harford always impresses. These inventions are not what I would have thought they would be and I love it.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I think my favorite of all of Penny Reid’s books is the super hot first three books in the Hypothesis Series but, when I tried to read Abram’s story (book 4) years ago it didn’t capture my attention. Well, I tried again this weekend and while I still think Motion is a slow slow burn the three books together work wonderfully. It was nice to be absorbed by a romance again and I enjoyed all three of the books.

I also finished Breath by James Nestor as an audiobook. This is an in-breath look at the power of breathing. This book made my hyper aware of any breath I took through my mouth (ruinous) and wonder if I should give meditation another try. However, this book failed for me where so many science nonfiction books have lately – it was nearly all anecdotal evidence. Worse, the book is balanced precariously on a stack of evidence that is “ignored by western medicine.” Still, it made me curious.
