WWW Wednesday: August 18, 2021

Thanks, as always, to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. August is still gross but the nastier the weather the more time to hide inside my house and read.

If you want to join in the fun, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forgt to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I finished listening to the cast recording of the Hobbit. I first read this books years ago. This recording was only 4 hours long so not precisely a re-read but certainly delightful.

I also finished Hamnet. This book is gorgeously written. And now I have a very different image of William Shakespeare. But this book was so sad and, perhaps, not something I was prepared to experience while living through another wave of COVID. If you are interested, the audiobooks narrator is truly talented and a delight to listen to which made the sad moments all the more heartbreaking.

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

I have no idea! I am still enjoying the year of Joyful reading!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?

    1. Ryan @ Muse With Me got me through the LOTR – those books almost need a sponsor! The Hobbit is an easy intro and, honestly, the Fellowship isn’t bad. But, oh man, I struggled with the second and third books. The sense of accomplishment when I finished was worth it!
