WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?
I am also listening to Wundersmith. This audiobook version of the second in the Nevermoor series has been keeping me company these past few days. I just love the world that Jessica Townsend has created.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?
This week I hid from the boiling nasty wet weather inside and read. Well, actually, I did take Warren the 13th outside to read and a swarm of mosquitos attacked. Why nature, why??
I finished the Warren the 13th series this week. This series is just too too cute. My review of the first and second book are already up but I still need to add my thoughts on the third book. Warren is such a lovely middle grade story and I love that he takes care of his own hotel. Sigh. This series was pure joy to read.
I also picked up the third book in the Small Spaces series, Dark Waters. This book was so scary! I mean, I am more of a pop-out-and-startle-you kind of scary movie person but the rising tension and the elements in this book used to scare all worked perfectly for me. I can hardly wait for the final book!
I also found a copy of Mary Roach’s essays at a used bookstore a while back and I just sat down and read the whole book. Mary Roach is one of my must-buy nonfiction writers but she is funny. Even though many of these essays are decently dated (Windows recovery disc old), the comedy still worked.
I also finished the graphic novel The Disability Experience. This own voices collection is profiles of various disabilities and how these people experience the world. This book is a great introduction for any age to the variety of disability experiences in the world.
All in all, it was a much more satisfying reading week than I have had in a long long time.

I have no idea! I am still enjoying the year of Joyful reading!

You have a lot of books I want to add to my TBR. I have a few of the ReVisioning America books on my shelves, but I haven’t bought a copy of Dunbar-Ortiz’s Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States yet. I also have the Nevermoor series on audiobook.
