NonFiction November Week Three: Become the Expert

Week 3: (November 16-20) – Be The Expert/Ask the Expert/Become the Expert is hosted by Veronica @ The Thousand Book Project

Three ways to join in this week! You can either share 3 or more books on a single topic that you have read and can recommend (be the expert), you can put the call out for good nonfiction on a specific topic that you have been dying to read (ask the expert), or you can create your own list of books on a topic that you’d like to read (become the expert).

Last year I became decently obsessed with female spies and females in general during WWII. I felt a strange affinity with them as the invisible force fighting for their countries.

This year my NonFiction reading was a hodgepodge. I promised myself I would Read with Joy and, after two back to back reading slumps, that seemed the only way forward. This collection stayed in the back of my mind though and I want to continue working through these books and reading the women’s stories. I would be embarrassed to re-cycle my post from last year but, the one thing I have found for certain, my bookish friends don’t judge!

  1. There are certainly a lot of books available on this topic and I don’t think anyone will criticise you for revisiting! It’s hard to choose a topic, and I changed mine at the last minute.

  2. Great list! I loved Code Girls, and I read a different book about Virginia Hall (A Woman of No Importance) and a fictional book about Nancy Wake — she is amazing so I think I’d like to read her biography. So many books on your list look good.
