CURRENTLY READING
I am still working on The Many Meanings of Meilan. Why? Because I got distracted. This is no comment on the book at all.
I am more than half way through The Rose Code by Kate Quinn which is largely at fault for distracting me from The Many Meanings of Meilan. This book is amazing.
I have A Mouse Called Miika by Matt Haig on my kindle. This sweet novella is set in the world of The Boy Called Christmas and I am loving it.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH?
Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other by Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish was such an excellent audiobook. If you are looking for an armchair travel book, I cannot imagine a more perfect choice.
Into the Wild, The School Between Winter and Fairyland and Unplugged are all middle grade books I read and enjoyed this week. Reviews to follow!
I got an e-copy of The Twelve Dates of Christmas from my library. This one wasn’t for me. The story was fun but the romance was not.
Finally, I listened to the fantastic Steve Martin read his book Born Standing Up. This short audiobook was a wonderful one and I loved every minute of it.
WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?
I haven’t decided yet! It will certainly include Middle Grade and, probably, some Christmas Books!

Some interesting reads there. I finished reading How to Read Water, and reviewed it for today, and was reading Heartcross Castle by Christie Barlow, which was a fun (but not Christmas, or even wintry, read, I just realised, though published this month) novel. I’ve moved on to An Arctic Night which is a YA book about an Inuit young man leading his first guided tour into the icy north, again on Kindle.
