WWW Wednesday: January 12, 2022

Thanks, as always, goes to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting the meme that keeps my TBR under some semblance of control. Awe, who am I kidding, this meme is the only thing helping me stay organized every week. If you want to participate, feel free! The more the merrier (and the bigger my TBR becomes). All you have to do is answer the Three W’s:

  • What did you recently finish?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

I always feel so self-conscious when I have failed to post in between the WWWs but, you know what, at least I got a lot of great reading done this week! Maybe I will read and review in the coming days.

CURRENTLY READING

Oh these dear and wonderful books. I have Fish out of Water on my Kindle and it is hot and amazing. I am loving the mystery they are trying to solve while trying to keep their hands to themselves. Quirky and delightful!

I just started The Huntress and I am already obsessed. I am buddy reading this one and I am only supposed the read 40 pages a day but I cannot stop!

And I am listening to Jenny Lawson’s Broken (in the best possible way). She doesn’t know it, but Jenny is a dear friend. This is what happens when authors narrator their own books about their lives. It feels like they are confiding in you directly. I love her stories and her insights.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH?

I finished Three Ordinary Girls by Tim Brady. I am still rolling these women’s stories around in my brain. Round and round they go and I am just not quite sure how to review this book.

I also finished Gold Diggers. I loved the story almost as much as I loathed the main character. I cannot wait to chat with my buddy about this book!

Finally I listened to Leslie Jordan in How Y’all Doing? At only 4 hours my biggest complaint about this book is that I wanted more. But I will probably always want more because Leslie is lovely.

I also re-read both books in the Aurora Cycle series in anticipation of reading the third and final installment. They were even better the second time around.

There is no doubt in my mind that the next book I will crack open is Aurora’s End. I can hardly manage to get this post up without starting the book!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?

  1. Enjoy your reading! I also recently listened to Broken as well, and also really like it when authors narrate their own books, especially non-fiction/biographies!
I’m currently readng Jade Legacy, and loving it!
