Frighteningly Good Reads 2022

I woke up this morning with a start and realized that I hadn’t posted for my annual spooky read-a-thon – Frighteningly Good Reads! It isn’t October without a month long celebration preparing for the best holiday of them all – Halloween!

I spend my whole month focused on reading spooky books and scary tomes and I invite anyone who wants to do the same to join me. This is the most laid back read-a-thon (can you tell since I forgot to mention it?). If it feels scary to you it counts as a Frighteningly Good Read, so join in however you want to from October 1 – 31st, 2022.

MY STACK OF CHOICES

These are the books I have been setting aside while sweating all summer. I will also grab whatever comes my way that looks like fun this Fall. I am really in need of a new fall-themed cookbook. If you have any recommendations, let me know!

Tell me, please! Are you planning anything for October?

  1. You know that I’ve been waiting for this and I was going to ask you if you didn’t announce it soon!!! So excited as always to join in!! I’m already reading my first pick and I have another I’ve been saving for months waiting for this 🙂 Thanks for hosting again – can’t wait to see your posts, these all look great, especially the Edward Gorey!!

      1. NFN is the only reading event I do besides this one, and if I didn’t host I probably wouldn’t do much for it either! I’m the worst book blogger ever!! But this is why I love yours – it’s the most fun topic and no pressure. Just the best!

  2. I love the Gashlycrumb Tinies, I’m so glad I own a copy. Such a nice, macabre little book. I really want to participate this year, but my reading pace has been so kneecapped lately I’m afraid I won’t have much at all to share come the end of the month.
