WWW Wednesday: September 6, 2023

When you’ve lost your way with blogging, one of the best ways to find your path back is through WWW Wednesday. Sam @ Taking on a World of Words hosts this weekly meme that reminds me that it is okay to have a plan when reading, even when I haven’t had much of a plan for anything else lately. And the joy I feel when I can report that a book was finished feels even better on a Wednesday.

If you want to participate in WWW, feel free! The more the merrier (and the bigger my TBR becomes). All you have to do is answer the Three W’s:

  • What did you recently finish?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • And, what do you think youโ€™ll read next?

CURRENTLY READING

I am working my way through the CBT in 7 Weeks workbook by Seth J. Gillihan, PhD. I am just about ready to wrap up week 5 and this workbook has really been helping me identify my anxious thought patterns. There is no substitution for a licensed counselor, but if you can’t find / afford one, this workbook has been incredibly helpful to me and might help someone else too.

Each September I like to pick up at least one book written by or about an Indigenous Person. Every year, schools across America are reading “American Literature” and I like to read literature from the original people of this land. Grass Dancer by Susan Power book has been on my physical TBR shelf forever and I finally cracked into it this week. I cannot put it down!

I am also listening to Order from Chaos by Jaclyn Paul which I didn’t realize until I started was sub-titled The Everyday Grind of Staying Organized with Adult ADHD. I am about half way through and enjoying it, even though I do not have adult ADHD and the author says “ADHr” too much in reference to people with the diagnosis.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH?

Look at these two bright and beautiful books! Live Your Best Life, 219 Science-Based Reasons to Rethink Your Daily Routine by Dr. Stuart Farrimond is an excellent book if you are seeking ways to tweak your day. I love the infographics and the current scientific research. If you want a better morning, a sharper afternoon, a more relaxing evening, or if you just want to have annoying tips to give others, this is a great book.

Less is Lost by Andrew Sean Greer is the second book about Arthur Less and I love him. I just do. Sigh. Oh, Arthur.

I picked this one up at the Field Museum. I can hardly wait to start!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW list?

  1. I’ll admit that I don’t usually read “meme” posts, but, you’re right about it being a good way to get a post out there, and I ended up really enjoying this one! LOL at “if you just want annoying tips to give to others” ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks you! I didn’t participate in any for the longest time but this one won me over when another participant described it as her “Goodreads without all the lying.” It is so true! Helps me also stay on top of the graphics and the posts I should be planning. Thanks for stopping by and reading!
