NonFiction November Week 3: Pairings

THE PROMPT

Week 3 (11/11-11/15) Book Pairings: This week, pair up a nonfiction book with a fiction title (or whatever you want to pair up). Maybe it’s a historical novel and the real history in a nonfiction version, or a memoir and a novel, or a fiction book you’ve read and you would like recommendations for background reading. Hosted by Liz @ Adventures in Reading, Running, and Working From Home

I did not read any pairings for fiction and nonfiction so this year I am pairing my NonFiction Reads from 2024 with TV shows.

SUPERIOR MEMORY

I have always wanted an eidetic memory but the more I learn about it, the less I want it. Instead, I would like to be able to remember things more easily. To that end, I read Unlimited Memory this year and have Moonwalking with Einstein on my TBR. If you enjoy this idea, you will likely love High Potential which features Morgan as a consultant for the LAPD with a knack for spotting inconsistencies and remembering everything.

MEDITATION

Another thing I know would benefit me is to meditate but I find that many, many people who ardently meditate are difficult to learn from or annoying to spend time with. Apologies! You know who I am referencing! Light Watkins is the first authority that reached me. Meanwhile, people like Katie Griggs use meditation and yoga in that particular manner that makes me want to run far far away. Both are fascinating in their own right.

Tell me, please! Do you have any pairings to recommend?
