WWW Wednesday: October 9, 2019

It’s time for WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.  Just answer the following three questions and leave a link to your own WWW post or a feel free to comment with your responses. The best part is visiting other participants to see what they are reading!

What Did I Just Finish Reading?

I feel like I have posted so many reviews this week and I have been doing nothing but reading but, for some reason, I only finished four books this week and almost all of them middle grade reads.

The Ghost Knight was surprisingly enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart books, I have read a few of her other books and I consider myself a fan. But I liked this book far more than I thought I would. My full review is here but let me just say, great story and amazing characters make this book perfect for middle grade readers for the Halloween season.

I also finished Gemina and while I haven’t posted about it yet…good LORD this book was good.

I finished two other middle grade books this week. The Jumbies was new to me and The Witches was a re-read. I wanted to love The Jumbies but I didn’t. I knew I loved The Witches but it gets better with every re-read. My full review of The Witches is here.

What am I Currently Reading?

The only new book on the list this week is Obsidio, the third in the Illuminae series. I’m making progress on Frankenstein and Hand Reading but not as much as I hoped I would this week. Still, these are three fantastic books!

What Will I Read Next?

Frighteningly Good Reads continues with Tunnel of Bones and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I hope to start one, if not both, this week.

Tell me, please!
