Usually, if I don’t finish anything in a week I feel too embarrassed or disorganized to post a WWW but, the more I socialize with other bloggers, the more I see this is just the cyclical reality of reading and blogging. And, really, nothing is quite as inspiring as seeing what everyone else has been reading this week.
Don’t forget, WWW Wednesday is a meme sponsored by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. To take part, you just have to answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?
What Did I Recently Finish Reading?
Ahhh, now I see why this is buried in the middle instead of being chronological! I have finished nothing this week.
What am I Currently Reading?
See, whenever I go over my four book plan it is just chaos! And, none of these are on my trusty Ken (Kindle) so I’m not getting anything done at night.
The cold I had has become trapped in my ears so I cannot read on the L or the busses without becoming motion sick but I have the audio of Obsidio to keep me going.
I’m in the early stages still of Frankenstein and loving it but I have put it somewhere….safe. (I can’t find it)
I’m also smack dab in the middle of Tunnel of Bones and loving it just as much as the first book in this series.
I am also about 25% of the way into Here be Monsters. This one is a cutie and the basis for the sweet movie, Boxtrolls.
What Will I Read Next?
In addition to my currently reading list, these are the only three books I would like to finish before the end of October for Frighteningly Good Reads.
Tell me, please!
What’s on your WWW?
I’ve been making my slowly through Schwab’s books but haven’t started with City of Ghosts series yet. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow sounds like the perfect Halloween read

I’ve only read one or two of Schwab’s books but I genuinely enjoy her story building. Have a great week!

I really enjoyed Frankenstein for the fact it’s so much deeper and complex than the horror movies make out to be.
Here be monsters looks super cute!

I was only a few chapters in when I misplaced it and that was the feeling I was getting as well. I don’t know why I thought it would be fluffy? Maybe I’ve just seen so many mocks of the original.

I can see a common theme here, lol. It’s not my cup of tea, so I haven’t read any of these. Here is my post: https://wordsandpeace.com/2019/10/16/www-wednesday-october-16-2019/

No matter how clean my place is, there are just so many books piled up everywhere! I just need to check all the piles.

I completely understand. I actually just decided to tackle reorganizing my bookshelves, so I could find all the books I haven’t read. It is intense. Books are everywhere! Fingers crossed that you find it. 🙂

I found it!!! I think admitting I had misplaced it motivated me. It was on my bedside table this whole time. LOVE reorganizing my bookshelves. I hope you can enjoy it!

Some pretty good Halloween-y reads! And I’d not even heard of VE Schwab’s City of Ghosts series, that’s one to add to my TBR 🙂

It is a middle grade book and wonderful for that age group. If you like middle grade stories, or a fan of Schwab, I recommend it!

I’m not a fast reader and I’m also a busy mom with a full time job. I often don’t finish a book before the next WWW, so you’re definitely not the only one! You can always post again and just give an update on the current book you’re reading and/or a variety of books you might read next and why. Happy reading!

That is such a positive thought – thank you! To be honest, I would NEVER judge anyone else for not finishing and I have no idea where I got the idea that anyone else would judge me. Thanks for the kind words!

I think a lot of people are really super busy right now. Also just stressed, which doesn’t always lend to a lot of reading, at least in my case. I tend to zone out in front of either social media or YouTube videos when I’m stressed, just because it’s easier for my brain to comprehend than focusing on a book. Hope things settle down a bit and you can find some reading time this week!

I hope you manage to find Frankenstein 😮 At least we know it’s safe. I’m starting to buckle under pressure a bit with my reading regimen; my pace has been so poor over the last week and a bit. I need to dig in and read.
Have a great week!
