Thanks, as always, to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for this meme that keeps me focused on my current piles instead of looking at the 500 things I have on my Goodreads TBR.

If you want to join in the fun, just answer the three questions below about how your reading is going this week and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to admire. Don’t forgt to check all the other participants. It is the #1 way I keep my TBR overflowing!

WHAT AM I CURRENTLY READING?

My beautiful spooky stack! I could not resist picking up a copy of Poe for your Problems by Catherine Baab-Muguira. What better month to read self-help advice from Edgar Allan than October?

I just cracked into my other two books, Camp Murderface and Star Wars Death Troopers this morning. I have a physical copy of the summer camp spook-fest for Camp Murderface but I am listening to Death Troopers as an audiobook. If I don’t keep an audiobook going I really neglect my walking and cleaning routines. Thank you audiobooks!

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I hit the trifecta of great books this week! I finished another Lindsay Currie book, What Lives in the Woods. This book kept me guessing page after page.

The Blood Spell by CJ Redwine was my audiobook last week and is a truly wonderful retelling of Cinderella. I just love the different ways the retellings are not just modernizing the tale, but making the characters more powerful and admirable.

The Haunting of Aveline Jones by Phil Hickes was the perfect scare for me. This whole book had such a mood. If I had read this when I was younger I would absolutely have shut myself in my closet – my favorite place to hide from scary things while reading scary things.

I managed a lot of reading but neglected my reviews and all of this books deserve to be discussed! I am hoping to find time to get them all up today or tomorrow.

WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?

I have no idea which book specifically but it will certainly be scary or spooky. If you are feeling the Fall my fall themed book tag is still up. I am loving Bookish Coffee Blog’s Answers. Or, if you are like me and are already ready for the best holiday every – join me in reading Frighteningly Good Reads.

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?

  1. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on Death Troopers! Before I really started getting into reading Star Wars books I was vaguely aware of that novel just because of how eye-catching it was. The idea of a horror story in that universe, even if non-canon, is certainly compelling. Have a great week!
