WWW Wednesday: June 1, 2022

It is the official start of summer! Yahoo! Hopefully, a little extra spare time will mean I will actually post more.

Thanks, as always, goes to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting the meme that keeps my TBR under some semblance of control and brings me back to blogging.

If you want to participate in WWW, feel free! The more the merrier (and the bigger my TBR becomes). All you have to do is answer the Three W’s:

  • What did you recently finish?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • And, what do you think you’ll read next?

CURRENTLY READING

This feels like a summer stack! I am nearly finished with The Midnight Guardians by Ross Montgomery and it is a beautiful story. I cannot wait to finish reading it but also, I don’t want it to end.

I lost Unwinding Anxiety in my house. These things happen. Happily I found it because the ‘ol worrying has gotten a bit out of control again.

I juuuuuust started Holly Black’s new adult book Book of Night as an audiobook. I love Holly Black so I am pretty excited to give this one a listen.

Finally, this summer I wanted to try reading something epic. I have chosen War and Peace as my Big Summer Book. That kicks off today but no opinion except to say I am glad I chose the hardbound and the slightly larger font size.

WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH?

I finished Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche by Nancy Springer and I was so sad to say goodbye to Enola….until I realized that there is a new book coming out in September! Yahoo!

Then I read another of Lucy Score’s contemporary romances. These books are really good but, Protecting What’s Mine was about a fire chief and a flight doctor and the first responder aspect stressed me out. I had to put the contemporary romances aside and turn to middle grade.

Skunk and Badger was given to me last year and is genuinely adorable. This is a very early middle grade and it just a sweet story.

I also finally read Pages & Co, Tilly and the Bookwanderer by Anna James and I finally understand the hype. This is a fantastic middle grade fantasy book and I cannot wait to continue the series.

It will most likely be The Organized Mind because the library is going to want it back!

Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
