Thanks, as always, goes to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting the weekly meme that keeps my TBR under some semblance of control and keeping the blog schedule organized. Even when I only participate every other week lately.
If you want to participate in WWW, feel free! The more the merrier (and the bigger my TBR becomes). All you have to do is answer the Three W’s:
- What did you recently finish?
- What are you currently reading?
- And, what do you think you’ll read next?
CURRENTLY READING

My Big Summer Book, War and Peace is still going well. I put up progress report here.
I read a lot of The Once and Future Witches through the audiobook but then the library took it away again and now I need to find the calm times to sit down and read.
I am also still working on Native American Myths and Legends and An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States. Both are fascinating.
Finally, I added If the Shoe Fits to my kindle reading.
WHAT DID I RECENTLY FINISH?

I finished three books in the last two weeks. The Bodyguard and Love at First Spite were cute romances. I enjoyed them both and they kept me company during the long nights when I could not sleep. I wonder if the authors that write these books know how valuable and important their work is – these characters never get tired and keep me company without complaint!
I also finished Edith Hamilton’s Mythology. This one has been on my TBR for ten years. I can see why it is a definitive book for students to read. It’s a primer for all things Greek and Roman mythology. Honestly, though, Percy Jackson probably gave me more.
WHAT WILL I READ NEXT?
Who knows. All I know is that the chances of me starting Priory of the Orange Tree this week are slim so I have taken it off this section out of pure shame.
Tell me, please! What’s on your WWW?
I am glad you enjoyed Center’s book. I loved that one.

Nice list, with War and Peace!
Now, do you know why the book is called The Once and Future Witches?
I happen to be reading the original children series (written in 1929-1930) with the title The Once and Future King, by T. H. White – on Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table.

I don’t see a ton of parallel between the Once and Future Witches and the Once and Future King (which I read many years ago). Perhaps when I finally finish it I will see the connection!

I’m not sure there are tons of parallels either, but my feeling is that there’s no way they would have given that title without referencing at all to TH White’s classic. It doesn’t sound like a common expression to be pure coincidence
