New Year’s Book Tag

I never know how to wrap up the last year or start the new one. This is even harder when I manage to, once again, drop the ball with tracking my reading and challenges. So, when I spotted this lovely New Year’s Book Tag on Kristin Kraves Books I thought this was the perfect way to wipe the slate clean and look forward to the New Year. Make sure and check out Kristin’s beautiful blog – I love her tag as much as her answers!

1. HOW MANY BOOKS ARE YOU PLANNING TO READ IN 2023?

For years I put my goal at 120 but last year I set it at 100 to allow me to read longer or more difficult books. This worked so well, I finished both War and Peace and Moby Dick, that I’m going to use 100 again for 2023.

2. NAME 5 BOOKS THAT YOU DIDN’T GET TO IN THE PAST YEAR BUT WANT TO MAKE A PRIORITY IN 2023

Many of these were a priority but poor Once and Future Witches needs to move from the TBR to the finished pile this year! I gifted myself new bookshelves so many when I dust and organize this poor sweet book will reappear.

3. WHAT GENRE DO YOU WANT TO READ MORE OF?

Nonfiction! After a year of not watching the new releases my TBR is piled high with beautiful Nonfiction books. Just look at these beauties.

4. NAME THREE NOT-RELATED-TO-BOOK GOALS FOR 2023

  • Go outside more. Must remember that books can go outside too.
  • Say “yes” to adventures, big and small
  • Build a better village

5. WHAT’S A BOOK YOU’VE HAD FOREVER AND ARE DETERMINED TO READ?

This is my year to get into this brick of a book!

6. ONE WORD THAT YOU’RE HOPING 2023 WILL BE?

Tell me, please! What are your goals for 2023?

  1. Love this. I’m also hoping to read more non fiction this year. It’s a genre I’ve avoided in the past so I’ll be keeping an eye out for your reviews and recs. Hope you manage to achieve everything you want and you find balance
